Velvet founder, Donna DePalma, began her professional life as a visual artist: a painter. She studied art, attending several prestigious art schools in both the US and Canada. She was awarded an MFA in painting before founding her own design firm. Her work in fabric design, commercial photography and art direction has allowed her to develop a sharp eye for style.
She brings a unique sense of color, line, pattern, texture and form to her analysis of fashion, and beauty which she looks forward to sharing with you.
An avid shopper, she’s worked with high-end fashion retailers to develop the depth of brand awareness she shares in her weekly journal.
