Holiday dressing that jingles and shines

A touch of silver, a little satin, a few sequins? Wondering what to wear this holiday season?
It doesn’t take much to add sparkle to the holidays.
A boat neck slip dress is more festive with a velvet jacket. Not just any jacket, a striking, black Emporio Armani satin trimmed jacket with tassel pull. A Giorgio Armani sequin tank under a ruffle-collar, black, Dolce & Gabbana chiffon blouse: stunning.
High shine Dolce & Gabbana metallic silver leather slingback pumps or a silver leather evening bag; a pearl grey scarf or a rhinestone chain belt all shout holidays.
Holiday dressing is about stepping up evening wear. The ultimate in black tie is Pamella Roland’s Mirror Embellished Mixed Media Gown in stretch crepe and beaded tulle.
Go all out. Wear silver or gold. This sheer gold Stella McCartney button-up shirt is statement dressing at its finest.
Love this belted, sheath dress in dark clay cream: pure style, tailored to perfection. Step out in wide-leg velvet pants in dark port. Match them with pointed toe, leather mules in bordeaux patent by Bruno Magli. These black bowtie mesh flats will make you want to dance the night away.
It’s the time of year for glamour.
If tuxedo dressing is your style, a tuxedo look shawl collar, crepe jacket creates a polished look. More casual, but still dressed to kill, a sparkle mesh tee with black velvet pants. Looking for something ultra-modern: a strapless, belted, velvet jumpsuit will attract just the right amount of attention.
Let your hair down or try an updo, accented with a rhinestone hair clip or crystal bow barrette. Layer gold bangles and bracelets. Pull out the pearls. And if you own a pair, pop on those diamond chandelier earrings: for even more sparkle.
Go ahead and jingle. After all, it’s the holidays. They’ll be merrier, and bright if you bring the shine.
Glitter boldly but tastefully. As always, within your comfort level and the limits of your personal style.
After all, couldn’t we all use a reason to celebrate now that this crazy year is about to come to a close.
